Required Equipment needed in order to practice & participate in games:
- Mouth Guard - must be colored (no clear/white mouth guards allowed), we also recommend keeping a couple of these around. They tend to "disappear" throughout the season, and nobody likes to share these :-) There are cases available to help keep these clean, but a ziploc sandwhich bags works just as well.
- Facemask / Goggles - approved eyewear can be found here
- Stick - for details into selecting your first stick, check out: https://swaxlaxlacrosse.com/choose-daughters-first-lacrosse-stick/ and https://youtu.be/wP2J3t0vaBw
- Cleats - soccer cleats are fine
- Water Bottle
Velocity Lacrosse is a locally owned store that focuses solely on boys and girls lacrosse equipment and are always happy to give advice at their location.
Dick's Sporting Goods has a selection of Women's Lacrosse Equipment in their Mason Store and on-line.
Also try Play It Again Sports in the Kings Auto Mall.
Especially for those new to the sport, both stores above usually sell a kit that includes a stick, stick bag and goggles.
Early in the season, it can be a bit chilly, you may want to consider gloves as well. The thicker/winter type of gloves/mittens makes it more challenging for the kids to learn how to grip their stick correctly. We recommend lacrosse or even baseball/softball batting type of gloves.
If you're having trouble locating any equipment, please let the coaches know. Some of the players may have some equipment from last year.
